Sul finire del mio percorso di studi, ho intrapreso l’esperienza da volontaria in AIVM con la voglia di mettermi in gioco per aiutare e sostenere le persone che si ritengono vittime di malagiustizia; a posteriori, mi rendo conto di come inizialmente non avessi una percezione chiara del problema, di cosa comportasse per le persone e della facilità con la quale si può cadere e rimanere intrappolati nelle maglie della malagiustizia.

Fin da subito, all’interno di un gruppo di volontari, ho potuto dare il mio contributo in modo sempre più consapevole, cercando di comprendere di volta in volta come approcciarmi al meglio a situazioni che fino a poco tempo prima mi erano pressoché sconosciute.

Tale crescita è avvenuta soprattutto grazie all’attività del Centro d’ascolto. Credo che ascoltare le storie di chi si sente deluso, incompreso o disorientato comporti una importante responsabilità per noi volontari, in quanto dobbiamo fare in modo che le persone che si rivolgono ad AIVM sentano di avere l’attenzione che queste delicate situazioni meritano. Accostarsi con empatia a ciascuna storia, a ciascuna persona, è sicuramente la parte più intensa dell’attività dei volontari, la parte che lascia il segno e arricchisce.

L’esperienza in AIVM è stata formativa anche sotto un altro punto di vista, perché in questo contesto ho potuto vedere l’applicazione reale e concreta delle nozioni e degli istituti che ho appreso nel corso della mia formazione universitaria. Ogni giorno, per ogni caso, accanto all’aspetto umano, mi sono confrontata anche con l’aspetto più “tecnico”, visionando atti e documenti di varia natura e giurisdizione.

Grazie all’attività svolta in questi mesi ho potuto osservare e rendermi conto delle criticità presenti nel sistema giudiziario italiano, nonché dell’atteggiamento di diffidenza e sfiducia che tali storture generano nei cittadini; ma ho anche maturato l’idea che la cosa più importante che possiamo fare per le persone che incorrono in vicende di malagiustizia è dar loro la possibilità di esprimersi, di confrontarsi con una “voce amica”.  Molto spesso, infatti, si tratta di persone che non comprendono del tutto i risvolti giuridici della situazione, ma sicuramente ne scontano gli effetti, trovandosi improvvisamente a vivere un dramma che li allontana dalla quotidianità che conoscevano.

Credo che la sfida da vincere sia fare in modo che la malagiustizia non rappresenti più un’idea dai contorni nebulosi, qualcosa a cui voltare le spalle senza pensarci troppo, ma un problema da considerare e affrontare.
